PROSCIUTTO WRAPPED MOZZARELLA WITH FIG JAM
Recipe by Mark Calaminici | Food Loves Company
Ingredients
Prosciutto, thinly sliced, to taste
Low moisture mozzarella, cut into sticks, long or short, to taste
Fig jam, to taste
Method
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
2. Place 1 to 2 slices of prosciutto down and place a mozzarella stick on one end. Spread some fig jam around the mozzarella stick and then fold over the prosciutto and tuck in the sides and continue to roll. Essentially rolling it up like a burrito. You can place the mozzarella sticks in the freezer for 15-20 minutes as this will help prevent the cheese from oozing out while baking.
3. Place rolled up prosciutto on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper seam side down. Place in the oven for 5-8 minutes or until the prosciutto starts to get crispy. You may have to flip halfway through cooking. Placing the prosciutto bundles on a wire rack can work as well for baking. Enjoy!
